Main Objective

The goal for this project was to create a lighting product based on a chosen target audience, research and interviews as well as provide informational posters regarding the product created.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Depending on the outdoor activities being done after dark, users might require different types of light sources, such as a lantern, a flashlight or a headlamp, but it is inconvenient to bring all 3 kinds and impractical to rely on one type for all lighting needs.

MISSION STATEMENT

Due to the limitations of current market products, there is a need for a multi purpose camping light that offers a more efficient and convenient lighting solution to those who do outdoor activities after dark.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Glo-Pro is a 3-in-one device for those who
require various types of light sources to do
outdoor activities after dark, such as backpackers, hikers and campers.

INTERVIEWS/RESEARCH

✰ 61.5% of users said they always need to bring more than one kind of light source while camping
✰ 66.7% of users said they find it inconvenient to bring more than one light source while camping
✰ 84.6% of users said that they could see themselves using a product that combines more than one type of light source

✰ Made from Polyhydroxyalkanoate, an affordable, sustainable plastic that is hydrophobic for the purpose of making it waterproof
✰ Light diffuser creates lantern effect when placed on its side
✰ Has multiple settings with individual buttons
✰ Has ON/OFF switch on side which is easily accessible when using as a headlamp
